Chapter II of our Product Roadmap 🚀

We've already released some of the features promised in our last update and have added new ones to the wishlist, so we want to keep you posted on what's coming next in the Tiimo app.

Chapter II of our Product Roadmap 🚀

We’re genuinely proud of the improvements in the Tiimo app over the past six months. As you probably know by now, everything in our product roadmap is there because users have requested it. It really means a lot to us to roll-out features and improvements that we know actually make your experience with Tiimo better!

Since we’ve released many of the features promised in our last update we want to keep you posted on what’s coming next in Tiimo. Some of these features offer totally new functionality, while others just make the app even more flexible, customizable, and user-friendly. As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on them! There are tons of other features we want to build that don’t appear on this list, but right now we’re working as fast as our small and ambitious team can to make the app even better. If you have questions, as always, feel free to reach out at hello@tiimo.dk 💙

Here’s what you can expect in the app this spring:

Flexible Activities (iOS)

One of Tiimo’s most requested features is coming very soon: a new type of activity that is tied to a particular day but not a particular time. These flexible Play/Pause activities will allow you to create activities with a specific duration and, if desired, order, but not fixed start and end times. This will open up the possibility of having multiple activities ongoing at the same time, something we think reflects the reality of day-to-day life for a lot of our users. Stay tuned on Facebook and Instagram for updates on this in the next two weeks - it’s coming very soon!

Localization 🇯🇵 🇫🇷 🇮🇹 🇪🇸 (iOS and Android)

As you read this we’re busy translating the app into different languages. While we already have the app available in English, Danish and German, due to global interest we are localizing the app into French, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. The French translation is due to be out in the next few weeks, followed closely by Japanese, Spanish, and then Italian. Hopefully later in the year we’ll get to more languages, so feel free to write to us if you have a request!

Calendar Import from Local Apple Calendar (iOS)

This update will give you the possibility to link your local Apple Calendar with Tiimo, meaning that any changes made in your Apple Calendar will be reflected in your Tiimo app. The imported activities from Apple Calendar can then easily be turned into Tiimo activities complete with icons, colors, checklist, and notifications. This is going to mean a way easier way of getting started with Tiimo!

Do note that when these activities are turned into Tiimo activities they will become detached from your Apple Calendar, so you’ll have to update them directly in the app. The activities won't receive any new updates made in the Apple Calendar.

If you want to import activities from other calendars into Tiimo, you have to add them to your Apple Calendar first and then you will be able to select that specific calendar from inside Tiimo. Hopefully more instantaneous calendar integration is on the way at some point… 😉

Small Tweaks with Big Value

Our list of user requests for features is very long and we always both consider the feedback you send us, as well as if a request can be implemented relatively quickly. Some smaller changes coming out soon that you’ve requested and we’re really excited about are:

  • A search bar for finding icons 🔎 (Android - already in iOS 🎉)
  • The ability to delete activities in your activity library ❌ (Android - already in iOS 🎉)
  • More pre-made routines and partner content in-app 📖 (iOS and Android)
  • A search bar for activities 🔎 (iOS and Android)
  • More personalization in sound 🎵
  • An undo action 🔙
  • Multiple profiles inside the app 👨‍👨‍👧‍👦 (iOS and Android)
  • Darkmode (Android)
  • Widgets (Android)
  • New and easier way of creating activities (Android)

An important note to our wonderful Android users: We want to thank you for being so patient with us. 80% of our users are on iOS operating systems, and being a small team we have to make difficult decisions about prioritization all the time. The Android app is a little behind the iOS app when it comes to new features. The plan for Android this year is to get most of the features available on iOS by December. We are starting with the much-requested widget, and then moving on to adding a search bar in icons and the ability to delete activities from the Tiimo Library. Stay tuned for updates! And thanks again for your understanding.

App Personalization

We want your Tiimo calendar to really feel like it’s yours. We’re rolling out more customizations in terms of colour scheme, the way we celebrate, as well as more data on your activities and routines to enable self-reflection.

And here’s what you can expect further into the year:

Routine Improvements

We’re working on changing the way you create routines. We want to change how you create routines, how they appear in your calendar, and how flexible they are. This is still a bit abstract for now, as we’re in the process of designing and user testing. If you’d like to be involved in this please reach out to Co-Founder Melissa at mea@tiimo.dk

Price Model Development

One of the most common questions we get is why the app isn’t free. This is something we wish could be true, but we also need to survive as a small business. Testing different pricing models is something we’re always optimizing (in the spring last year we settled on the most affordable subscription possible), but we’re still curious about a Freemium model. This would mean that some of the app’s functions would be available for free without a subscription, but users would have to subscribe for full access to the app’s features.

Before we do this, we need to raise an investment round (hopefully within this year ), since we rely on the revenue we get from the subscriptions today to survive as a company (we don’t make any profit). As always, if you have any feedback or ideas on how the pricing in the app could look like also while offering a free version of the app to the users that can’t afford it, we would like to hear from you!

Our Long-term Dreams

We don’t have concrete dates for these yet, but we are working on developing in-app mood tracking as well as a better look-back feature. A look-back feature would more easily allow users to use Tiimo like a diary and reflect upon their activities over the past months and years. We haven’t figured out exactly what this will look like, but we think it's a great idea!

The first prototypes for mood tracking are ready, but we also wanted to improve some of the existing features in the app before starting on something totally new. We know that many users would like to track mood during the day and evaluate the impact of certain routines and activities, both on a day-to-day basis and over the longer term. We can also see how powerful the ability to track mood in reference to activities and daily schedule could be for developing self-awareness about your routines and the way they do (or don’t) that support your wellbeing.

That’s all for now! But remember, at Tiimo our users shape our product roadmap. So if there’s something you think the app is missing, please reach out at hello@tiimo.dk. We take user feedback extremely seriously; it’s the only reason the app is what it is today. We’ll keep you updated as we check off items on our product roadmap and add new goals to the to-develop list. Thanks again for being here! And make sure to stay updated on new features by following us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok .
