Customize Tiimo to fit you

Tiimo is designed to be flexible so you can adjust the experience to meet your needs, not the other way around. Whether you’re changing colors, fonts, or setting up shared use, these settings help reduce friction, increase clarity, and support follow-through in a way that works with your brain.

How to customize your settings

Go to the Me tab and tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner to open your preferences. From there, you can adjust how Tiimo looks, sounds, and feels so planning works better for your brain.

Here’s what you can customize:

  • Theme: Choose the button and interface colors that help you navigate more clearly and recognize things at a glance.
  • Appearance: Set the app background to Light, Dark, or match your phone’s system setting, whichever feels easiest on your eyes.
  • Font: Switch to a dyslexia-friendly font if you experience reading fatigue or visual stress.
  • Sounds: Pick a sound for task completion, turn notifications off entirely, or enable background music during Focus sessions.
  • Haptics: Turn vibration feedback on or off depending on how your body responds to sensory input.
  • App icon: Choose the home screen look that works for you, including seasonal icons if you want a refresh.
  • Notifications: Set reminders that support your routine without overwhelming you.

  2. Tap the Settings icon
  3. Scroll to Profile → Add new profile
  4. Enter a name and tap the arrow to save

To set up on another device:

  1. Download Tiimo on the other device
  2. Log in with the same subscription email
  3. Choose the appropriate profile
  4. Adjust settings on that device — everything is saved locally

This keeps every user’s Tiimo experience clear, separate, and supportive of their individual needs.

How customization supports executive functioning

These options aren’t just cosmetic, they’re designed to reduce cognitive load and support how your brain organizes time, tasks, and input. Customizing Tiimo helps with:

  • Initiation: A clear, welcoming interface lowers the barrier to getting started
  • Sensory regulation: Adjusting visuals, sound, and haptics helps you stay engaged without overload
  • Time awareness: Colors and reminders help you see what’s next at a glance
  • Cognitive flexibility: Multiple profiles support role-switching without mixing routines or visuals

How to get the most out of customizing

  • Initiation: A clear, welcoming interface lowers the barrier to getting started
  • Sensory regulation: Adjusting visuals, sound, and haptics helps you stay engaged without overload
  • Pick colors that cue your brain: try green for rest, blue for focus, or whatever helps you scan tasks more easily
  • Switch to the dyslexia-friendly font: helpful if reading fatigue or visual clutter is a barrier
  • Change your app icon or theme seasonally: fresh visuals can boost motivation
  • Set up profiles for different roles or routines: especially useful for care, context switching, or co-planning
  • Keep only the features that help: no pressure to use everything, just what works for your brain right now
