Leyna is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience treating people with chronic mental illness, ADHD, and substance use disorders. She is committed to providing affirming, accessible care for neurodivergent patients, especially those navigating multiple barriers to support.
Leyna has worked across clinical and community-based settings, including housing-first programs, outpatient clinics, and harm reduction services. Her approach emphasizes therapeutic rapport, trauma-informed care, and medication support tailored to each individual’s goals and context.
She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from New York University. Leyna also has professional training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and is certified in nonviolent crisis intervention.
