Co-founders of Kahoot!, Jamie Brooker and Johan Brand, have just invested in Tiimo. They bring years of experience, ideas, and insight from their journey at Kahoot! to ours. We are absolutely thrilled to have them on board.

Wait what’s Kahoot!?

Think hard... There’s a good chance you’ve participated in a learning game hosted on their platform, which had over 1 billion users in over 200 countries in 2019 alone. Jamie and Johan founded Kahoot! because they wanted to design a flexible platform that anyone could use to create an educational game. Using digital tools, Kahoot! games - quizzes, puzzles, polls or a combination - allow groups of people to participate simultaneously, making the platform ideal for empowering whole classrooms to engage directly in their learning.

Why Tiimo?

The best part is that Jamie and Johan don’t just love our product, they’re also passionate about our human-centered approach to design and business, as well as our overall mission of building inclusive communities. This, alongside the crucial lack of inclusive tools for Autistic people and/or those with ADHD, gaps in research to improve diagnosis and treatment, and our dynamic, passionate team, have Jamie and Johan convinced that Tiimo has the potential to grow into an impactful and sustainable business.

Just think about what we can do together…

We are already thrilled about some of the ideas Jamie and Johan have for Tiimo, like to grow our group of users into a supportive community; an idea that aligns with our hopes and dreams for our company. Their commitment to inclusivity, combined with concrete insights about scalable business models, will be invaluable to us as we work on finding the most financially-accessible model possible for Tiimo over the next few months (more about that here).

And we’re not the only ones who are excited!

Johan and Jamie contributed as a part of our now successfully funded campaign on Seedrs. Our campaign to raise €340,000 was one of the biggest crowdfunding campaigns for an assistive technology EVER and we overfunded by 16%, with contributions from more than 300 investors! Our story has been picked up internationally, including in features in Forbes, Berlingske and Shifter. We’re humbled and SO proud that our story is resonating this widely and want to thank everyone who contributed, shared, or supported us.

This journey is just getting started! Make sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates. And as always, reach out to us with questions, comments, or if you just want to chat 🤗

Why the ‘overdiagnosis’ debate harms neurodivergent people

Claims of overdiagnosis ignore what really matters: too many neurodivergent people still face stigma, long waits, and little support.
