Customize Tiimo to fit you

Tiimo is designed to be flexible so you can adjust the experience to meet your needs, not the other way around. Whether you’re changing colors, fonts, or setting up shared use, these settings help reduce friction, increase clarity, and support follow-through in a way that works with your brain.

How to customize your settings

  1. Go to the Me tab
  2. Tap the Settings icon (top-right corner)
  3. Adjust any of the following to help make Tiimo work better for you:
  • Theme: Change the button and UI colors for clearer navigation and quick visual recognition
  • Appearance: Set the overall app background — Light, Dark, or match your phone’s system setting
  • Font: Switch between Tiimo’s default typeface and a dyslexia-friendly version for easier reading
  • Sounds: Choose your task completion sound, mute notifications entirely, or enable background music during the Focus timer
  • Haptics: Toggle vibration feedback on or off for a more sensory-aware experience
  • App icon: Pick the home screen look that suits you best — including seasonal icons
  • Notifications: Set reminders that support your routine without creating alert fatigue

Using Tiimo with someone else? Add a profile

If you’re sharing Tiimo, for example, with a partner, child, or a caretaker, you can create multiple profiles under one subscription. Each profile has its own schedule and setup, so it’s easy to switch without overlap.

To add a profile:

  1. Go to the Me tab
  2. Tap the Settings icon
  3. Scroll to Profile → Add new profile
  4. Enter a name and tap the arrow to save

To set up on another device:

  1. Download Tiimo on the other device
  2. Log in with the same subscription email
  3. Choose the appropriate profile
  4. Adjust settings on that device — everything is saved locally

This keeps every user’s Tiimo experience clear, separate, and supportive of their individual needs.

How customization supports executive functioning

These options aren’t just cosmetic, they’re designed to reduce cognitive load and support how your brain organizes time, tasks, and input. Customizing Tiimo helps with:

  • Initiation: A clear, welcoming interface lowers the barrier to getting started
  • Sensory regulation: Adjusting visuals, sound, and haptics helps you stay engaged without overload
  • Time awareness: Colors and reminders help you see what’s next at a glance
  • Cognitive flexibility: Multiple profiles support role-switching without mixing routines or visuals

How to get the most out of customizing

  • Pick colors that cue your brain — try green for rest, blue for focus, or whatever makes tasks easier to scan
  • Switch to the dyslexia-friendly font if reading fatigue or visual noise is a barrier
  • Change your app icon or theme seasonally — fresh visuals can renew motivation
  • Set up profiles for different roles or routines — especially helpful if you’re managing care, switching contexts, or co-planning with a loved one
  • Keep only the features that help — there’s no pressure to use everything, just what works for your brain right now
